Lauren graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She completed her advanced diploma in manual and manipulative therapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Lauren is licensed in medical acupuncture and is a certified Gunn IMS practitioner. She also has training in vestibular rehabilitation in order to treat vertigo, dizziness, balance problems, and concussions. She recently obtained her sport physiotherapy certificate and is currently pursuing a sport physiotherapy diploma through the International Olympic Committee.
Lauren works as a contractor for the Canadian Sports Institute Calgary and has been the medical lead physiotherapist for the Canadian National Luge Team since 2015. She travels with the team on the world cup circuit and is currently helping the team prepare for the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Additionally, she has worked and travelled with the Canadian Women's Sitting Volleyball Team. Lauren believes in a multi-modal treatment approach combining education, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and dry needling to help clients reach their rehabilitation goals.
