Dr. Alicia Slade
Dr. Alicia Slade obtained a BSc. in Life Science and Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2006 before attending medical school at the University of Alberta (2009-2013). In 2015, she completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Calgary. Between 2015-2016, she worked family medicine locums in rural Alberta and British Columbia, where she worked short-term “locum” contracts providing clinic, hospital and rural emergency department coverage.
In 2016, Dr. Slade completed a fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Pan Am Sports Medicine Clinic. In July 2017, Dr. Slade moved back to Calgary to join the Group23 Sports Medicine Clinic.
She is a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians and the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine and has her Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
In addition to her work in medicine, Dr. Slade enjoys spending time with her family and friends and also competes in the Elite/professional division for Triathlon Canada in short-course triathlon.
