Dr. Katie MacGregor
Dr. Katie MacGregor obtained a BSc. in biochemistry at Davis and Elkins college, West Virginia where she competed on the regional and National level in NCAA Women’s soccer and Alpine Skiing. She then completed her Medical (MD) degree (2008-2012) and residency training in family medicine (2012-2014) at the University of Ottawa. In 2014 she relocated to Calgary for the mountains and to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Calgary, completing her Diploma in Sports Medicine (Dip Sport Med, CASEM) in 2015.
Dr. MacGregor now has a fulltime clinical consulting practice in Sports Medicine with G23, the University of Calgary, and the Canadian sports institute – Calgary. She has been the Chief Medical officer and Lead Sports Medicine Physician for Alpine Canada since 2015 and continues to be involved in International travel. Dr. MacGregor has a clinical focus in acute sport-related concussion, acute knee injury and female athlete issues, she also enjoys event coverage for a multitude of sports on both the local and international level.
When not in clinic, you can likely find her skiing, biking or hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains or travelling somewhere in search of her next adventure.
