With 25 years experience in the health and wellness industry in the areas of fitness instruction and personal training Tracy brings both experience and technical expertise. She also holds a massage therapy and personal training certification, making her strong in relaying and understanding necessary physiological processes in the area of weight management. In addition to her science background, Tracy is a CTI trained coach, a certified True Colors TM Facilitator and a certified Daring Way TM Facilitator with numerous expert-speaking engagements and extensive coaching experience focusing in the areas of vulnerability, courage, worthiness and shame resilience.
Tracy has participated in the Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation (OSCE) for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary to assess the competency of medical students in the area of wellness prescription with a focus on obesity.
Tracy’s experience in dealing with the sensitivity of weight bias makes her a strong asset to the team and brings a vast array of knowledge to support both clients and staff. Tracy believes Individuals who are overweight or obese are often targets of weight bias and stigmatization. Her strong coaching training has helped facilitate necessary emotional and psychological breakthroughs with clients dealing with weight issues.
Tracy also believes that a client’s best weight is whatever weight they achieve while living the healthiest lifestyle they can truly enjoy. Tracy brings her expertise in changing behaviours and environments that match this best weight theory. She is highly trained in motivational interviewing, allowing clients to understand themselves and leads them to their best weight without psychological deprivation. She knows the power of asking the right question at the right time without bias.
When Tracy isn’t working, she enjoys kickboxing, weight training, and painting.
