Dr. Pauline Sawicki was born and raised in Toronto. At the University of Toronto, she completed her Honours BSc. in Cell & Molecular Biology and Human Biology in 2014, and completed medical school and obtained her medical degree in 2018.

As a lifelong ski and mountain bike racer, the mountains were always calling, and she moved to Calgary where she completed her Family Medicine residency from 2018-2020, and Sports and Exercise Medicine fellowship from 2020-2021.

Her clinical interests include all athletes and their sports, and she is also passionate about mountain sports and their specific injuries. She is completing her Diploma of Mountain Medicine (DiMM) and Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) through the Universities of Utah and Colorado - and she hopes one day to provide medical care on high alpine peaks and in Search & Rescue helicopters.

Dr. Sawicki is a team physician for Cycling Canada, Alpine Canada, and the Alberta Alpine/Ski Cross/Freestyle teams. She also provides game coverage for the SAIT Men’s Hockey Team, the Calgary Fire AAA/AA Female Hockey Program, and local MMA events.

She is fluent and can provide medical treatment in English, Spanish and Polish, and can discuss the weather and current events in French and German.

When she is not working with and helping patients return to their activities and sports, you can find Dr. Pauline Sawicki skiing, biking, mountaineering, surfing or playing tennis either here in Canada, or across the globe.

Fun fact: Dr. Pauline Sawicki’s perfect day is skiing, biking and surfing in one day.
